After informal review by SGC the updated draft of the Neighbourhood Plan has been completed and formally submitted for what is called a Screening Opinion. This determines whether a Strategic Environment Assessment (SEA) is required before the plan goes to the next formal stage of consultation and review. An SEA would be required if SGC determine the policies proposed in the NP would have a significant environmental impact. We’ll get an answer to that hopefully by the end of November. All being well (and we don’t need one) we’ll publish the draft plan on this website ready to start formal consultation early in the new year.
More news when we receive the Screening Opinion.
